Camaro Lover Comments : The only new car I ever bought was an '87
IROC-Z that I special ordered then sold a year later due to costs. Owned
several Corvettes over the years and after selling those bought my IROC
Convert to remember my younger days :-)
The IROC is fully optioned except for leather interior, engine heater,
& rear disc brakes. Has the rarer KC4 Oil Cooler, G80 Posi rear, &
G92 Perf. rear axle options as well. |

anyone knew of someone who wanted a third gen would love for it to go to an
enthusiast who I know will take care of it.
The body is pretty beat up, but the engine is mechanically sound and
has not given me any trouble since I bought it. |

an owner since 98. I love the way they handle and am a fan of the lowly 2.8
v6 which are in all three of my present Camaros. Just let go of my 92RS for a
debt owed but plan to make my 87 into a V8 5 speed. |

Camaro Lover Comments : just finished the engine; 355 cid, LT4 hot cam, tpi set-up off of a corvette. Transmission was just rebuilt along with
the rear end (3.73 POSI). Now I just
need to get painted and new T-tops seals on it. |

purchased a very interesting find. Originally a bare bones no options 67
Camaro with a straight six and auto trans. The 2nd owner bought at 60K miles,
ran it into a ditch and damaged the front end. He then put a 68 firebird nose
on it as a replacement. He was then involved in another accident in another
vehicle that left him disabled and unable to drive. The car was put into a
garage in 1987 with 99K original miles. It was recently offered on E-bay
where I purchased it. It is a very amazingly solid car.. and thou one of my
competing bidders was a person that wanted it to chop it up into a strip
car.. I plan on returning it to its once original form with literally no
changes as from when it was first sold... and then use it as my daily driver.
I'm looking into possibly joining your club. I have owned two 1969 Firebirds,
and love this body style as well as ease of working on, restoring, and
performance. |
